School is finally out for the Summer for all of the students who were anxious for a break from the rigors of curriculum, and the sun is a red hot, fiery ball of heat pouring down bright rays of Light that infuse much needed warmth and Vitamin D - not only into our skin but into our souls.
It's uplifting, energizing, mesmerizing, and washes over us like a warm blanket covering us from head to toe. It seems safe enough, but watch out - blink twice and your skin could be a bright red hue begging for a cool shower and some aloe vera gel to cool it down.
I love the morning times when the sun is just waking up! I'm usually in bed, reading my One Year Bible and meditating on every word - chewing it like a piece of cud that is mulled over, contemplated slowly, hashed out, and cycling through my brain as I process all of the metaphors, symbolism, and recurring threads between the characters and stories - notating the nuances and trying to understand and make sense of it all and how it pertains to my life - TODAY.
So the Sun is rising and it pauses to peak through my blinds as I'm laying in bed reading my Bible and sipping on a hot cup of fresh coffee - yawning and stretching - I say "Good morning Lord - I invite you into this day and Bible devotion and ask that you bless it!" I know the Father of Lights (James 1:17) is replying back, "I'm here daughter - what are you reading today?" The sunlight streams in; at first it is gradual and then it spills into my bedroom like a bright floodlight that fills every nook and cranny with a beautiful, bright, warm hue. Bright enough to alert all of my senses and start to awaken my brain cells - but not so bright that I can't concentrate or that I feel blinded. Just enough that I feel His presence and get a sense of a warm light wrapping itself around me - like a weighted blanket that comforts with its gentle, warm hug. It feels like a shot of VitD injected into my body, bringing health, vitality, abounding energy, and resilience to toxins.
My soul is encouraged and uplifted. Happiness and joy start to flood my soul like the morning light flooding my room. Hope rises up! The words from the scriptures start popping off the page and giving me direction and encouragement for the day!
I read the positive verses of the passage of the day, out loud, and my soul continues to be uplifted, comforted, strengthened, and encouraged!
My feet hit the floor and it's GO TIME! Time to face the day ahead with all of its joys, challenges & giants, adventures, divine appointments, and supernatural, divine moments and people to bless! It's called THE PRESENT because it is a Gift or a Present!
I greet the day with a SMILE & anticipate its goodness!
